Mom and Dad went on their first date on this day 20 years ago. Originally, we went to Azteca (now Fiesta Bonita) for a Mexican dinner, followed by ice cream dessert at Baskin Robbins (still there!), and then watched the Fun with Dick and Jane movie at the Triangle Theater (now a church). We attempted to re-create this with some tweaks, going to dinner at Taco John’s, followed by ice cream at Baskin Robbins, and then watched the Fun with Dick and Jane DVD at home. Close enough!
