Halloween Night

The kids teamed up with their neighbors Hazel and Ila to go trick-or-treating on our street.

They started the night with cousin Adam at Fibre CU offices, where they completely filled up their bags. They continued in Longview, had pizza dinner at Papa Ken's, then headed up to Castle Rock and made the rounds.

Jack-o'-lanterns

The kids are all old enough now that they have no problem scooping out the pumpkin guts. And, they did a nice job of sketching the face on the pumpkins for Daddy to carve (and Jillian tried her hand at carving, but made an oopsie and didn't want to continue).

Anniversary Babysitting

Aunt Julie watched the kids at our house while Mommy and Daddy went out for dinner for their 12th wedding anniversary. They made some crafty pumpkins dressed as mummies, and cooked up and decorated sugar cookies.

Costume Teaser

The kids got dressed in their Halloween costumes tonight to go to cousin Adam's Special Olympics fundraiser party. Jillian is a witch, Tor is a pirate (Captain Jack Sparrow), and Bridget is Catwoman.

They ate lots of treats, and played with Adam, who was dressed as Mr. Incredible. Bridget was the only one to go out on the dance floor.

Birthday Trio

We celebrated the birthdays of Aunt Lynne, Aunt Robin and Uncle Dan in Castle Rock. Grannie had lots of games for everyone to play, and Papa made two of his signature dishes for dinner.

R & B Pumpkin Patch

We made our first visit to R & B Pumpkin Patch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. It didn't take long for the kids to find their pumpkins. They also picked up a tiny pumpkin each to decorate the house.

Hazel's B-day Party

The kids joined neighbors Hazel and Ila and some of their cousins for Hazel's 9th birthday party at The Family Room in the Three Rivers Mall. They got quite the workout with some things they had never done before.

The Return of Basketball

Jillian's basketball team started practicing a couple weeks ago. She is back on the same team with Coach Louie and most of last year's teammates.

Officially Fall

The kids had been watching the trees down the street, and waiting for the leaves to fall. Today, they decided there were enough leaves on the ground to rake into a pile to jump into. They also laid down in the leaves, buried themselves in them, and had a leaf fight.

Aunt Dany's B-day Party

We celebrated Aunt Dany's birthday this afternoon, and Mommy moved quick to save Grandma Cindy's tablecloth when Tor dropped his lit candle (see pic).

The kids were excited to give Dany the present they made: glittery slime.

Crossing Guard Training

 After we pick up Bridget and Tor, we have to wait 15 minutes for Jillian as she trains to be a Crossing Guard. She has to be serious but her friend that is training her makes her laugh sometimes.

 Once when some children were crossing, a little boy gave her a hug.

Tor put on this cat tunnel and was walking around. Not sure why but he usually get a laugh from his silly antics.
