Birthday Dinner

Mommy chose Guadalajara for her birthday dinner. Bridget made sure the wait staff knew it was her birthday.

Mommy's B-day Party

We celebrated Mommy's 45th birthday with some pizza at Papa Pete's followed by lots of pies at Grannie and Papa's. One of the highlights was watching the exercise video that Bridget made for Mommy. Though it was only over a minute long, there was plenty of action in it, including jumping jacks, pushups, stretches and wall sits.

B-day Party for Cousin Andy

We made a quick trip to Issaquah for cousin Andy's 10th birthday party. The kids played lots, ate lots, and will hopefully sleep lots tonight.

Short Bike Ride

It stopped raining long enough for us to make a quick bike trip to the library. Tor was thrilled to finally be big enough to ride the Spider-man bike (instead of the girls' old pink bikes), but he still fell over every time he stopped.

Foamy Beach

We made our way out to the beach this morning, since we heard that the storm blew the waves up to the dunes last night. There was a lot of sea foam blowing around.

Tor's Store

I'm sure Tor was inspired by Bridget having a store recently.  So today, between reading sessions, he was busy making sticky note pictures.  He said he was having a store to sell them.  He drew a lot of pictures and hung them all over, on the refrigerator, on the sink, inside and outside the back door, on the fireplace, on the cat's tower, and many other places. Tierney helped him put them up high. So after dinner we asked how much for each.  At first he said 2 dollars but then changed it to 2 cents, much more reasonable.  So everyone shopped and bought almost all his pictures.  Then when there were some left he said we could take one free as a bonus.  He was happy to have some money to take home.

Bridget's Basketball Season

Bridget had her first basketball practice of the season tonight. She was excited to have the same coach (Glenn) as last year, and a lot of her soccer teammates are on the team, too.

Daddy's 49th B-day

We had the party in Castle Rock. Grannie had decorated with a Star Wars theme, and Papa made enchiladas for lunch. Jillian made Daddy a pillow, and Bridget made a complete board game set.

The Force

 Tor got right after his "Grannie's School of Torture" after a long break.  When he finished the first session he picked this light up candy saber as a reward, and immediately ran into the bathroom to look in the mirror to see what it looked like.

Ty and Deborah came down to visit with Tor, Jillian, and Bridget.  Tor got his saber out to battle with Ty.  Then Ty had Tor put his hand up to use "The Force" to ward off the sponge balls that Ty and Debbie were launching at him.  He was a little skeptical at first but got into it soon.  Before they left Jillian gave Deborah a pillow that she worked to make while they were playing with Tor.
