Tor had his first golf lessons the other day, and couldn't wait to play some more, so we went to Big 5 and found this Wilson Junior Set. It contained a driver, hybrid, iron, wedge and putter (and the bag).
We also picked up a dozen foam practice balls, and went immediately to practice at the RAL field. Here's a snapshot of Tor's swing.
Tor played his first flag football game with his team, the Lions, at the Kelso HS stadium. It was a learning experience on offense, but he was very aggressive on defense, recording several sacks.

Neighbor girls Hazel and Ila stayed with us for 3 days (while their parents went on a trip) this past weekend. We spent the entire day Saturday at Castle Rock, playing at Grannie and Papa's. It was in the mid 80's, so they did lots of water-related activities, like water gun fights.
They also did lots of the usual stuff, like playing on the blacktop ...
... and scootering around on the property.
They came up with something new: running the water hose in the play fort slide for a quick slip down.
After Papa Pete's Pizza for dinner, they cooked s'mores over the fire.
Not much to say about Wenesday (inside due to rain) or Friday (packing and cleaning), but Thursday was really nice. We were at the beach for a while, finding a big washup of driftwood that we used to build a fort.
The water was surprisingly warm, so the kids tried to cross some deep water to get to a sand bar.
Finished up with usual ice cream at Adelaides.
An even nicer day (sunny with a cool breeze), so we went to beach for a while. Tor brought his baton, and practiced on a piece of driftwood. Jillian and Mommy peppered volleyball in the sand, while Bridget was content to read Archie comics in the car.
Made another trip to the park, and played a kids vs. parents football game, and the parents won! Followed that with some basketball, and a trip to the library for the first time in a year (but browsing only, so a short stay). Cooked hot dogs and s'mores over the fire pit, and tried to stay outside until dark.
Spring Break! Arrived at the cabin in the afternoon, and went straight to the park since the sun was out. Took the usual bike picture, which the kids complained about, even though they know it's coming every time.
Played football and basketball, and Tor was upset when we stopped ... never enough sports with him. Went to Jack's afterwards, then back to the cabin for lasagna dinner and the Wonder Woman 1984 movie. Late night and tired kids.
Easter morning started off with a quick egg hunt at home as soon as everyone woke up. Then, we went to Easter service at church, where the kids did the processional again.
In Castle Rock, the egg hunt was first. Lots of eggs with a lot of money.
The girls checked out their baskets with the twins. Bridget got her traditional stuffed bunny from Grannie, and named it Lilac.
The egg roll was a challenge, with our kids out quickly. Even little Josie Jean joined in the fun.
Jillian and Mommy did really well in the raw egg toss, placing 3rd overall. They were tossing it a long ways.
The final activity was an Easter-themed Family Fued that the boys won on a tie-breaker.
After the party, we celebrated Grannie's birthday party. Tor helped shield the candle from the wind.
Tor got some baton twirling lessons from Aunt Robin, and she let him borrow one of her old batons to practice with.
We finished the evening with a potluck dinner at Papa Ken and Bev's.
Next up was the Egg Roll, first for the kids won by Harper and then this is Daddy and Mommy still in the hunt for the prize but soon were out. Ava and Harper's Dad, Charbo, won.
Here's Jillian following her final volleyball tournament of the season, with Monticello MS teammates Macie and Evalyn.
Jillian really enjoyed this season, as strange as it was. She was the 5-1 setter in pretty much every game, and their team won a bit more than half their games.
Bridget went to a Saturday Easter egg hunt at Riverside Park, along with a hundred other kids, that was put on by Bev's sister Karen. (Jillian was at volleyball, and Tor was sick). She even got to see the Easter Bunny.
There were sooooo many eggs ... if you can find her, Bridget is wearing the grey coat.
It took a while to open all the eggs. Some contained tickets to redeem for prizes.
At the end, we got to visit with Papa Ken, Bev and cousin Michelle.
