All Girl and All Boy

 Bridget wanted me to take a picture (a rare occurrence) so she could put it on on the frig at home since Jillian has one on the frig.  She took care of her baby who had a bump on her head.  She took baby's temp, checked her heart, gave her a shot, and took her pulse.  Then she takes out the medical chart and says, "I have to write down my actions."  She is such a funny kid.

Then there is all-boy Tor.  He likes to get a spoon and some bowls out of this drawer but this day he got in the drawer and started throwing everything out.  Papa asked, " Aren't you going to stop him?"  I replied,  "He's playing quietly and he can't hurt anything!"  Doesn't his grin look mischievous?

Climber and Water Play

 Tor was so excited after he climbed up on this chair.  Then he will stand up without holding on to anything.  Real scary.  At least he has figured out how to get down backwards.

The girls love anything to do with water.  They had turned the hose on and it made a river across the driveway.  They got out chalk to see where it would flow.  The water goes into a drain at the side of the driveway then comes out down the hill.  They would color for awhile then race over the hill to see what would come out.  This was an interesting fascinating project for awhile.

Frozen

 Here is Daddy multitasking.  Tor is shooting while Bridget is working on her rollerskating.  Jillian is patiently waiting her turn to tell Daddy something.

We had a "Frozen" movie party for Memorial Day.  Papa and I had not seen it so we all watched it including Tierney.  They had popcorn and Jillian was on her fourth bowl. It was Bridget's nap time so she had trouble sitting still on the sofa for fear she would fall asleep.  Tor took a nap through the movie.  I enjoyed having them all here and the movie was fun.

Jillian Award Program

 Tierney, Bridget, and I went to an Awards program at Jillian's kindergarten class.  It was her teacher's last day and they will have a sub for the remainder of the year.  Jillian"s award was "Mood Lifter" as the teacher said everyone Jillian comes in contact with always feels better from her helpful and cheerful manner.

 Jillian really liked her teacher Miss Cheatley.  She was a very happy positive influence for Jillian.  On Awards Day the kids and teacher had a pretend camp out.

Bridget was thrilled to go to school with Jillian.  After the program Jillian showed her around the room.  When they were finished, the teacher, to get their attention, had them put their hands on their head.  Some kids didn't and the teacher complimented Bridget for following the directions given to the class.
The program was over and there was over an hour to dismissal so I asked the teacher if we could take Jillian home early.  It was OK so I checked her out and when I got back to the classroom she wanted to stay since they were going to recess.  So she got to go to recess and show Bridget everything.  Then she was ready to go.

Creative and Helpful Kids

 When Bridget is confined to just the backyard she can get very creative.  There is a bike decorative piece so she got a blanket to make a seat and put her lamb on the back flower holder and rode off (pretend).

 I caught Tor being helpful for a change.  He would go over to the scrap paper basket and get a piece of paper and then would go to the trash can and throw it in the trash.  I really praised him so he did it several times.  Then he went back to throwing things on the floor.  Oh well...

Daddy was covering up Tor's feet with sand which he thought was cool.  They all had lots of fun enjoying the shade on a nice day.

Backyardigans

All of the kids went over to their neighbors Hazel and Ila's backyard for a little fun in the sprinkler. Tor had a great time getting wet.

Swim Lessons

It was a successful session of swim lessons. Bridget was very comfortable in the water, and Jillian continued to work on swimming without floaties. Towards the end of the lessons, Bridget's swim teacher took off a floatie from each of her arms, so she was down to just one floatie on each arm. Bridget is so easy going when swimming, that she doesn't go too fast, and taking off the floaties slowed her down even more, so you can imagine how long it takes now for her to get anywhere. She did pretty well without them, but she'd still prefer to have two floaties on each arm. Jillian did well enough that the swim teacher moved her up to Level 2. She can now jump off the diving board and go down the big slide without help, going pretty far under water and not minding at all.
