Pool Weather

It was warm enough to go swimming in Morgan and Gram's (heated) pool. They tried out the new volleyball net pool toy for a couple minutes, before they were off to other things. 

Kindergarten Graduation Party

Tor's kindergarten class trekked to the "New Park" at the lake to celebrate the end of the school year. Mommy joined them as they played on the playground, blew bubbles and ate cupcakes. Here's a pic of Tor holding his diploma with Mrs. Ewers.

Reading at Night

The girls always end their evening by reading books in bed. Tor decided he wanted to do that, too, so he grabbed "Go Dog, Go!" and read the entire thing himself.

Fun with Kayleigh and Brock

On Friday after school it was rainy and cold but that didn't keep Tor inside. He played outside until almost dark at the play fort. He is getting pretty good at the zip line without getting stuck in the middle.

 He wanted to see if his carrots he planted were ready and wouldn't listen when I told him they were too small, until he pulled them. He was able to eat the biggest one.

 They all were so excited that the newly engaged couple, Brock and Kayleigh, were coming for the weekend. Bridget made a cartoon book with events leading up to their engagement. She gave it to them when they came down Saturday. It was very cute!

 Tor had made a book about the beach and gave that to them also. He was pretty proud.

 Of course when Brock and Kayleigh arrived they had to have a spirited game of basketball. I think the girls won. Here, I'm not sure whether Tor is blocking out or Kayleigh is holding.

 Here Tor is deciding which way is best around Jillian who was guarding him most of the time. Bridget kept score on this intense game.

 After basketball, they all came in for lunch and Tor insisted that Brock sit with him at the counter and Kayleigh was relegated to the big table.

 After lunch came another fierce battle. This time it was water guns, hoses and sprinkler cans and again between the guys and gals. Here Tor and Brock are plotting.

 Obviously they were plotting an attack on Kayleigh. No one escaped getting soaked although they had a base that was off limits.

Here I think Brock got the worst of it. After they left, Jillian, Bridget, and Tor changed into dry clothes and sat and read or played quietly in the house for a long time. I think exhausted.

Jillian Pictures

Usually every time Jillian is here and it's nice out, she takes my camera and takes pictures of mainly flowers and woods. She likes to take close-ups and I enjoy her pictures as she uses all different perspectives in her shots. She makes us see what we don't usually take note of. She's made coasters out of some of her pictures. 

Maddie's Grad Party

We went to Maddie's RAL High graduation party this afternoon. Maddie is the granddaughter of our former neighbors Jack and Peggy, and when she visited them, she would come over and play with Jillian.

Watering and Play-Doh

It was an over 80 degree day so when Jillian, Bridget, and Tor got here a little after one, they decided everything needed watering(except for Bridget). Jillian had the hose and did a great job but happened to hit Tor a couple of times.

 Tor's mode was the watering can. He usually filled it up at the hose but tried the waterfall away from the house. He didn't really complain about Jillian watering him as it was hot out.

 Bridget was in the mode of riding the ripstick and listening to music.

 After a couple hours in the sun I convinced them to sit in the gazebo and play some games or I would put some of the things they never played with in the yard sale. Here they had a Play-Doh game and Tor did some Star Wars pictures.

 After awhile they got out all the Play-Doh and started making things. I made some cinnamon rolls with the Play-Doh and declared myself the winner of the Play-Doh contest. Then they all tried to out-do me, which they did. Here is Tor's sushi plate.

 This was Jillian's doll cake.

 And this was Bridget's sushi. Why sushi?

 Then Julie came down to visit and was put in charge of judging. Jillian bowed out since she had already used the Play-Doh in her doll on something else. So Tor was the boy winner and Bridget won for the girls. Julie was diplomatic. I didn't have a chance.
