It was a nice day, and Jillian had asked us when we were going to go see the volcano, so we said ... why not? We took off after church, and first stopped at Hoffstadt Buffs to visit Tierney at her summer job in the gift shop. Then, we drove all the way up to Johnston Ridge. Jillian was the only one really interested in looking at the mountain ... Bridget and Tor were more into running around. It didn't take long before the girls were complaining of tired legs and being overheated, so we packed up and headed to Coldwater Lake. The kids, especially Tor, enjoyed checking out the water, but all the walking took its toll and we again had tired and crabby kids.
