1/2-Price Sale

​Bridget and Tor ran the 1/2-Price Yard Sale in Castle Rock on Sunday. Bridget ran the till, and Tor bagged and carried items. It was a bit slow in the morning, with only one customer in the first hour, but then things picked up and it was a steady stream of shoppers.

The final haul was $313, split between the two of them.

Spikeball Pro

​Cousin Ty was selling his Spikeball Pro in the yard sale, and the kids immediately saw it and wanted it, so we picked it up for $10. Bridget and Tor tried it out at home to test out their “pro” status:

Cookies & Lemonade

​Bridget teamed up with cousin Josie Jean at the annual Castle Rock yard sale to provide refreshments for customers, with Bridget selling her homemade chocolate chip and crackle cookies and Josie selling her fresh-squeezed lemonade.

Lots of little cousins (Kenny, Rory, Grant, Wrigley and Hazel) showed up to keep Bridget and Tor busy.

This is me and jillian on a tour in front of buckingham palace there were a lot of people

Here we are at dinner on our first night in London. We both had pizza with plenty of leftovers to spare.

We left early the next morning to drive to Paris and we were both really tired

Once we got there we went on a short walking tour and took pictures in front of the arc de triomphe

The next day we went on another walking tour and got to see the eiffel tower of paris for the first time

This is the only picture I took at the moulin rouge because we couldn't take pictures inside, but the food was really good I loved the dessert.

The next day we got up really early again and drove to switzerland where we went souvenir shopping with granny and papa.

Me and Jillian went for a walk that night in Switzerland and we found a little dock to take pictures at.

We woke up early again to go up these gondolas to the top of Mount stanserhorn. Granny and papa didn't come with us, but we made friends and had fun, even if it was really cold at the top of the mountain.

We drove to italy that afternoon, starting in venice, and all of the boats were super cool.

We went to "Dinner in the Tuscan Hills" that night with granny and papa and the food was amazing

The next day me and jillian went to see the vatican and the sistine chapel which were very impressive. We also went on a walking tour later in the day.

That night me and jillian picked out dinner for ourselves and went to a very cute italian restaurant right by our hotel. Jillian got pizza and I got pasta.

We finally reached Rome, our final destination, and went on one last walking tour.

Our final stop was at the colosseum, which I was really excited to see.

The 31st

​Another 31st day of the month, another trip to Baskin-Robbin’s:

Residence Hall

​Jillian moved into the Residence Hall at Olympic College today, with help from Mom, Dad and Tor (Bridget was doing 4-H horse stuff). Everything fit into the Honda and Hyundai, and Jillian will hold onto the Hyundai for a month until Bridget  gets her license. We met the RA Kate, who gave us a tour, then gave us the keys to move in:

No roommate yet, since it’s summer quarter. Plus, the sofa in the pic was left behind, but will get removed tomorrow. We were all very impressed with the room - it had just been completely renovated, so everything was brand new. Here’s a tour with Jillian:

Once all the stuff was moved in, we made a run to Fred Meyer a few miles up the road to pick up missing supplies and enough food to get Jillian through a week or so. Then we returned and worked on unpacking, cleaning and organizing.
