Wave Pool

The wave pool saw the most action today. It was right next to the Garnet Cabana that Hal had rented for all of us. Some of the waves were pretty big, and knocked us silly.

Tor spent at least half of his day jumping the waves.

Another Basketball Prize

Last time we were here, Dad won the "8-ball" basketball at the hoop shoot game. This time, Tor sunk his first shot to win a "Boulder Beach" basketball.

Timber Terror

Just the kids this time ... wood rollercoasters are a little too painful for Mom and Dad. They are somewhere in this pic:

Stunt Pilot

Our day at Silverwood started in the Theme Park. The kids wanted to warm up with the Corkscrew Rollercoaster, but it shut down, so we went straight to Stunt Pilot. It was quite the intense rollercoaster, with lots of steep drops and loops.

Mom and Dad are probably done with the big ones for the day.

Back to the Beach

After returning from Wallace, we headed back to the Coeur d'Alene City Park Beach with Jacob, Lindsey and Mckenna to cool off in the water.

Tor brought his rainbow football to toss around and play flyers-up with Jillian:

Sierra Silver Mine

Our day trip to Wallace, Idaho was highlighted by a tour of the Sierra Silver Mine.

We rode a tram from the town out to the mine, where we were given hard hats and an orientation.

The guide, who worked in the mines long ago, gave many demonstrations throughout, including this one with Tor on how they used to drill into rock:

We walked pretty deep into the mine, and it was chilly inside (compared to the 90+ F outside).

After a relatively early breakfast, we took a quick group pic before heading out to Wallace, Idaho.
