MVP

The RA Long Volleyball 2024 Awards Ceremony was held tonight, and Jillian was voted the Most Valuable Player! Coach Whitney remarked on how Jillian "did it all" for the team - setting, hitting, defense, serve receive, serving, etc.

She also talked about her discipline and hard work, that she always does what's best for the team, and that "there is not another athlete in our league like Jillian".

Tierney & Macee's Baby Shower

Jillian, Bridget and Mom went to Gabe and Des' house to celebrate Tierney and Macee's Baby Shower. They saw lots of familiar faces, and Mom got to hold Maddi's newborn baby girl Scottie.

Tierney had arrived a few days before from Illinois, going to Jillian's volleyball match and Aunt Lynne & Robin's birthday parties. The kids are excited to meet little Wrigley in a few months.

Civil War Champs!

Jillian's RA Long volleyball team won the Civil War vs. Mark Morris in convincing fashion, 3-1. They are currently tied for 3rd in the GSHL 2A going into the final match.

Coach Dave took the team out for ice cream after the win to celebrate.

One Step Closer

RA Long had another big 3-1 win against Woodland, keeping their hopes alive for a high district seed.

Hazel's B-day Party

The girls spent the evening at neighbor Hazel's for her 15th birthday party, where the theme was "dark academia".

Tor made a brief appearance.

Kenny & Rory's B-day Party

It was kid-central at Cale & Erika's house for a party for Kennedy's 2nd birthday and Rory's 1st birthday. Kenny was quite the hostess, greeting all the visitors. This photo was the best we could do ... the girls were on the move all afternoon:

Most Inspirational

Bridget's middle school volleyball career came to an end this week, culminating with the awards ceremony where she was, not surprisingly, voted as Most Inspirational:

Her team had one final get-together, and also received this framed picture:

It was a very successful season, and Bridget was an important piece of that, always being positive and encouraging her teammates.
