One More Party

Bridget got to enjoy one more birthday party, this time in Castle Rock. We played a game where we guessed Bridget's preferred choice between two options, with some curious answers from her. Then, it was cake and ice cream ... Bridget can be seen here keeping an eye on Tor, who attempted to blow out her candles.

Bridget is 11!

Bridget turned 11 years old today! Her day started with her name announced over the school intercom, followed by lots of birthday wishes all day from kids she didn't know. She also passed out cupcakes to her class. After school, the neighbor girls Hazel and Ila came over for a little party.

In the evening, we Zoomed with the Peterson family to celebrate Papa Ken and Auntie Karen's birthday (shared with Bridget).

Finally, Bridget got her wish of having dinner at her favorite restaurant Guadalajara.

Mustang Volleyball

Jillian played her first home volleyball game for the Monticello 8th grade team (after missing out in 7th grade). Her team won 25-19, 25-16, and she had lots of good serves, sets and passes ... Just a nice all-around performance.

Goals Scorer

Bridget's second soccer game was one of her best ... She scored 2 goals for her team! The first was a controlled dribble and shot over the goalie, and the second was off a pass from a teammate. Being her usual modest self, she didn't like all the attention for it.

Bridget is playing soccer!

Bridget is back to playing soccer again, with her previous coach and several old teammates on a U12 team named the Fireflies. The coach is big on conditioning, so she has been running a lot in practice. She played her first game on Saturday, getting several chances to score, and earning a "hustle badge".

Tor is playing soccer!

Tor is finally back to playing soccer, this time on a U10 team named the Raptors with a new coach, but several familiar teammates. They played their first game on Saturday, losing 4-5, but Tor scored 3 goals. The field is bigger, with more players, so it was hard work running up and down the field and navigating all the bodies. He was exhausted!

Papa Bob's B-day

Papa Bob is turning 82, so we had a backyard lunch get-together. Tor helped with blowing out the candles, of course.

The party game of the day was bottle flipping, and Tor dominated (thanks to his practicing it nearly every day).
