Visit with Morgan and Gram

It was hard for the kids to wait until the afternoon, when Jillian and Tor's school friends Morgan and Gram would show up to play. We made a trip to the park together, and also had time to play around the cabin. Morgan also joined us for hot dogs and s'mores.

Epic Monopoly Game

Jillian had her pick of show for the night, but she instead chose family game night ... and the game was Monopoly. It was back and forth throughout, but then Bridget bought some hotels and several of us landed on them, and it was pretty much over at that point ... at 10 pm, after about 3 hours of playing, we called the game, declaring Bridget the winner.

More Football

It was boys vs. girls again, this time with Adam joining the boys. We kept warm with all the running around, but eventually stopped the game due to coldness.

Morning Tour

After a long sleep-in and a late breakfast, everyone climbed into the Ford and we made a tour of the area. We drove up the beach (it was too cold to get out) and then across to Oysterville, then down to Bailey's Bakery for some pastries.

Meet Up with Greta and Adam

Our afternoon was filled with Astoria, as we met up with Auntie Greta and Cousin Adam to swim at the Astoria Pool. Afterwards, we had pizza at Fultano's and ice cream at DQ.

More Morning Games

For our morning activities, Bridget picked The Game of Life Adventures Card Game, and all the kids loved it. They got to choose a job and house, get married and have kids ... and also narrate their "life story" as they played. It was fun until Daddy played his "Mid-life Crisis" card and took all of Jillian's carefully planned life cards ... then there were tears and angry kids, and the game was over.

Seaside Trip

We drove down the coast to Seaside to visit Grandma Cindy and Hal in their new fifth-wheeler. It was very deluxe!

The kids (and Mommy and Daddy) went swimming with Lindsey and Jacob ... they alternated between the cool pool and the hot tub.

The kids also spent a lot of time on the playground, pretending to be competing in their favorite TV shows:  Beastmaster and Strong.

After pizza and potatoes for dinner, we watched the Aquaman movie together.
