Rehearsal Dinner

We went to Meagan and Curtis' wedding rehearsal dinner at Mill City Grill, and enjoyed good food and some time together before the big day tomorrow.

Pictures and Gingerbread House

 I like to get some pictures before Christmas so today was supposed to be the day but it seems that they're pretty cooperative at first, then getting all three to stop being silly is a challenge.  I need to stop at 3 or 4 attempts. I'll do this one again when it's darker out, but it was pretty good.

 Then they got to do their gingerbread house.  They each had  2 parts to do and they worked hard on being creative.

This is later so you can tell it was harder to get a great picture.  They did a very nice job on their house and Jillian wrote JOY on the roof, Bridget did an intricate design and Tor put candy lights on the eves.

Crafts, Ty, and the Big Game

 They get to have their own small tree this year so they said they needed to make all kinds of decorations for it.  Jillian created a lot, Bridget got side-tracked making a snowman so didn't get many made, and Tor made a lot but decided to give them all to Ty.

 Later they went up to Aunt's to play with Ava and Harper where they made some more Christmas ornaments.  Then they all came back here. Played a lot then decided to make some more ornaments. Perhaps now they will have their tree sufficiently covered.

Ty and Deborah made a quick trip home for Thanksgiving. While Ty was here, Tor was glued to his side, plus giving them all his ornaments.

Then came the big evening entertainment, Cougers vs Huskies. Great for Rick and family and a downer for Robin and family. Tor did a lot of entertaining during the game with his "Flossing moves".

Thanksgiving Dinner

We went to Auntie Greta's house for Thanksgiving dinner today. The kids sat at the kids table with cousin Adam, and were so hungry for mashed potatoes and gravy that they went back for seconds and thirds.

After eating, the adults looked at Black Friday ads, while the kids played board games with cousin Meagan, like Candyland, Kerplunk, Twister and Game of Life.

Bridget the Writer

Bridget takes everything she learns at school to heart, and in this case it's how to write. Now, instead of just starting off and writing whatever comes to mind, she is planning it out. This shows her writing process for an informational piece on cats.

Go Dawgs!

It was a beautiful mid-November day for a Husky football game. We walked the mile or so to the stadium, then settled into our seats in the east endzone. It was a pretty good crowd, and there was plenty of scoring. After halftime, the temperature dropped and the kids got chilled, so we did our best to snuggle together. In the end, UW won the game handily against OSU, and the kids were ready to find a place to warm up.

The Bookstore

When Daddy told the kids they were going to the bookstore, they were excited about all the books they wanted to buy. They still enjoyed picking up some cool Husky gear.
