Tor and Homework

 Tor, Bridget, and Jillian were excited to go to the CR volleyball game to watch cousin Auna play.  Tor was mesmerized for most of the match, watching the play and especially the boys that were leading cheers.  He sat quietly for most of the night with Aunt Robin helping out.  Meanwhile the girls watched some video and then were really restless because it was past their bedtime, leading me to leave before the end of the match that CR won.

 Brock and Ty were watching Tor, and his method of entertaining them was to do pratfalls on the dog's bed.  He would run, spin around, and then flop down, get up and laugh hilariously.  He doesn't mind the attention in the least.

Since Jillian is usually doing homework, Bridget likes to do it too.  She enjoys mazes and writing, plus getting a sticker.  Lately Tor has been demanding to do the same thing, so I've been giving him some crayons and a coloring page and he thinks he's big stuff too.

Ballet

 We got to attend Jillian and Bridget's last session of ballet.  They followed directions well and looked somewhat more graceful.

G--O--A--L

Jillian got hit in the face with the soccer ball early in the game so she pretty much didn't want to be near the ball most of the game.  Then all of a sudden at the end of the game she got aggressive and scored her first goal.  She has been close to scoring most of the season but she usually tries to pass it to a teammate.

During the game Tor was running all over and when he went by a policewoman, she stopped him and put a badge on his jacket.  He was pretty proud of his badge.  It didn't slow him down though.

Music and a Skeleton

 Tor learned he could blow the harmonica to make noise.  He sat in the chair and played for a long time and then walked around playing.  Sometimes he would blow several notes fast and I would dance to them which greatly amused him.

Papa has a big skeleton on the deck with a strobe light so last night the girls went out there to dance around with the skeleton.  They stopped long enough for a picture.  Tor wasn't sure about that skeleton so he wouldn't get close enough to get in the picture.

Jack-o-Lanterns

Jillian and Bridget got to do quite a bit more of the carving this year. They both designed the faces on their pumpkins, and Daddy made them scoop out the guts. Bridget was a little grossed out at first, but then she got into it and cleaned it out. Tor liked sitting and watching the action.

Pumpkin Patch

It was a beautiful fall day on Sunday when we went to the Willow Grove pumpkin patch. We went on the hay ride, and Tor enjoyed watching the tractor pull us along. When we started hunting for pumpkins, the girls were very picky, so it took a while for them to decide. Jillian finally chose a short, fat pumpkin, while Bridget picked a taller, skinnier pumpkin. Tor tried to pick up whatever pumpkin he could get his hands on, in between running away from Mommy and Daddy.

When Bridget saw Jillian getting her picture taken to show off her missing teeth, she immediately wanted the same number of pictures taken of herself. Then, Tor walked in and wanted the same. So, here's a couple bonus pix.
