New Car

It's been 12 years since our last brand new car, so we were ready to pull the trigger again after a year of car troubles. This is our 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport-L AWD in Canyon Blue Metallic.

We went through the Costco Auto Program again like we did with the Chevy Equinox, so it was relatively stress-free.

Bridget, Point Guard

In a surprise move, Bridget's middle school basketball coach put her at the point for their game against Kalama (since teammates Riley was out with an injury). Bridget brought the ball up the court, then passed to go play the post.

She did a nice job as point guard, along with her usual hard work defending and rebounding against the tallest opponents.

Trailblazers with Aunt & Uncle

Tor received Blazer tickets from Aunt Robin and Uncle Dan to see them play the Detroit Pistons. Tor brought along longtime teammate and school friend Evan. Dan and Robin got everyone warmup shirts to wear at the game:

They also got bandanas and foam fingers:

Despite the Blazers losing by 8, the boys still had a fun time.

Winter Woolies High Point

It was another successful Winter Woolies for Bridget and Handsome, winning the 14-18 year old Senior Division High Point. She received an embroidered cooler blanket as a reward:

February Power League

Jillian and her Aspire 17-2 Royal volleyball team traveled to Mt. Angel to continue playing in the Gold Division.

Despite a disappointing result for the team, Jillian continuwd her outstanding play as the 5-1 setter. She has stepped up her game in many ways, including stronger attacks of tight passes to the net when in the front row, and better tip coverage in defense.

Tor is 12!

Tor turned 12 years old today! He just returned from a sleepover at his friend Evan's house, along with teammate Keegan. It turned out to be an all-nighter of video games, so Tor is barely hanging on in the late afternoon.

Shared Birthday Party

Like last year, Jillian and Tor combined their birthday parties into one Saturday night event. Sweetie Pie had turned 17 on Thursday, and the Big Mister would turn 12 on Sunday. Mom made her chocolate cake, of course:

It was a big crowd of family and friends. Kenny and Rory helped entertain everyone. The kids enjoyed all of the nice gifts they received:

After the party, we went to watch RA Long boys basketball beat Foster in the regional state championship, then saw a near-brawl break out afterwards.
