Browsing Long Beach

In the little time we had until dinner, we browsed the Long Beach shops. Mommy picked up a professional photograph print of 3 little owls (representing her 3 little Olympic Owls). The kids posed with Lewis and Clark:

Calm Beach

Slow start to the morning, but we eventually left for the beach at 11 am, packing all the kids in the back of the Ford (a beach tradition):

We weren't sure about the weather, but it was very calm and decently warm. The kids played a bit of volleyball in the dry sand to begin with:

Then, we headed for the water. With so little wind, it was hard to find any big waves, but Tor and Jillian tried surfing:

Evening Volleyball

Still nice out, so everyone joined in a game of group pepper with the volleyball:

Fire Pit Cookout

Andy built the fire this time around, and we had hot dogs and s'mores tonight to take advantage of the nice weather.

Browsing the Shops

After the beach, we walked to the Ocean Park Pharmacy and checked out the gift shop. Tor had to get his blood pressure checked, of course:

We browsed Jack's for awhile, before the kids picked out their ice cream treats:

Beach Visit

The kids went to the beach this afternoon and enjoyed the sunny weather. Here's the boys digging in the sand to make a "wind block for suntanning", according to Tor:

Meanwhile, the girls got started on their tans up in the dunes:

Mom and Auntie Sheryl were there, as well, while Dad was driving to the Warrenton Les Schwab to get the Ford's flat tire fixed (for the second time in two days).
