Bridget is playing soccer!

Bridget is back to playing soccer again, with her previous coach and several old teammates on a U12 team named the Fireflies. The coach is big on conditioning, so she has been running a lot in practice. She played her first game on Saturday, getting several chances to score, and earning a "hustle badge".

Tor is playing soccer!

Tor is finally back to playing soccer, this time on a U10 team named the Raptors with a new coach, but several familiar teammates. They played their first game on Saturday, losing 4-5, but Tor scored 3 goals. The field is bigger, with more players, so it was hard work running up and down the field and navigating all the bodies. He was exhausted!

Papa Bob's B-day

Papa Bob is turning 82, so we had a backyard lunch get-together. Tor helped with blowing out the candles, of course.

The party game of the day was bottle flipping, and Tor dominated (thanks to his practicing it nearly every day).

Early B-day BBQ

Papa Ken is leaving for North Dakota soon, so we got together for a BBQ in his backyard to celebrate his 75th birthday, as well as Bridget's 11th.

Husky Football Game

We made our trip to Husky Stadium on Saturday evening to watch the football team play against Montana. The game was an utter disappointment (miserable loss), but we enjoyed our time otherwise.

The kids walked with Dad all the way to the highest seats to see the view ... a little scary for those of us afraid of heights 

On the walk there, they got to see Harry the Husky.

Bridget's B-day List

Bridget went all-out and spent a lot of time preparing her birthday list, but she wasn't happy about it, because there were so many items on it, she didn't have much room left to decorate it with her drawings.

Boys Night

Tor and Dad were having a boys night of video games, when we heard the football game next door (Monarchs vs Rockets), so walked over to watch, and Tor brought his golf club and ball to hit in the practice field. A warm late summer night
